Adi Kaplan was born in 1967. The artist duo Adi Kaplan and Shahar Carmel have worked and lived together in Tel Aviv since 1993. Their paintings, cartoons and performances offer biting criticism of the social and political reality in Israel. For this issue, Kaplan and Carmel took a trip to Amsterdam in the midst of civil war in the year 2030. This contribution is based on a short story called The Leader by Avigdor Hameiry (1951).
